If you or someone you know is a picky eater like I am, you’ll understand the comfort and reliability of a simple meat, cheese, and bun burger. Over the years, I realized that this “basic” option was actually the foundation of a great burger, and if the essentials weren’t perfect, no toppings could save it, no matter how fancy they were. That idea grew into my design philosophy: master the fundamentals first, or everything else falls flat.
I was born in Vermont, raised in Florida, and now call San Francisco home. I’ve lived and worked in the Bay Area and its really become the place I most feel at home outside of Vermont, surrounded by both the games industry, the arts and the incredible natural beauty of SF and its surrounding cities, I really cant see myself anywhere else.
After earning my BFA in Graphic Design from Ringling College in 2013, I built a career in visual design, art direction, product design, and branding, largely in the video game media industry. From IGN and Giant Bomb to Metacritic and GameSpot, I’ve had the privilege of leading design for some of the biggest names in gaming and entertainment. Those experiences shaped the perspective I bring to every project and the problems to be solved with them. I’d love to chat more about my work, just don’t be surprised if we end up comparing favorite Pokémon along the way.
